understanding the em

Henry (Rick) Frueh wrote an interesting piece Understanding the Emergent Movement. I think it describes a little of what generated the emergent movement but I think it does more to show how various groups within Christianity talk past each other. We tend to listen for the point of disagreement rather than to celebrate our common Savior and to find ways that He might speak to us through the other 'movement'.

This isn't an emerging thing, I remember the same dynamics in the earlier heydays of the Charismatic movement. The names have been changed but the charges remain the same between the parts of our Lord's body.
