the real difference between arminianism and calvinism

From One Salient Oversight:
The Arminian says: Rather than blaming God for evil, let's blame him for ignorance instead.

The Calvinist says: Rather than blaming God for ignorance, let's blame ourselves for ignorance instead.

What do you think? Play nice ...

The difference is serious. It hinges on this issue, did Christ die for everyone or not. That has eternity written all over it.

Subliminally it means we live in a vacuum in which nothing alters anything.

what if the question was actually, "did Christ die for everyTHING?"

how does that change the discussion?

I'm thinking there is general grace to all people, saving grace to some people.

There is general grace to all things, there is ultimately a new heaven, new earth, and new Jerusalem. Which I guess means all 'things' will pass away and be replaced with new 'things' ... i.e., no real saving grace in the sense of the human spirit.

Did I get it? I hate having smart readers ...
