I lead our "church council" meetings. This group is comprised of the leaders of each ministry at ICF. It is a matrix of Rick Warren's 5 Purposes (Purpose Driven Church) and Carl George's meta-globe (Prepare Your Church for the Future). Anyway, we've been working to live out our Christian lives more and more. We don't want to throw out the fact that we are still an organization but ahead of that, we are a community of believers. Therefore, in our business meeting Saturday, we spent over an hour singing praises, reading Scripture, serving the Lord's Supper to each other, and praying 1:1 for each other. It was the best business meeting I've been to in a long time. It's good to "practice what we preach".
