stewards

This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. - Paul, 1 Cor 4.1

God's stewards conserve, preserve and protect the Gospel. They don't redesign the mysteries of God, improve on them, or edit them. A faithful Christian steward becomes an instrument which God uses to proclaim the Gospel. - John Wimber

All things are ours - forgiveness, salvation and eternal life. We belong to Christ. And we steward the mystery and offer it to those who are hurting. It is more creative than your best idea; it contains more wisdom than your deepest insight; it brings more healing than your most solicitous care. Take your place as a servant. Attend to God’s presence in the inner room of your heart, and do what He tells you to do. Be faithful in it and let God’s divine power flow through you. - John Wimber
