young evangelicals

Tom Brokaw did a short piece on the Emerging Church. It focusses on Pine Ridge Church planted by Tadd Grandstaff.

I like Grandstaff's comment:
Let's stop focussing on what we are not about and start focussing on what we are about.

In regard to homosexuality he rightly states that we don't have to bash or preach against homosexuals. The problem for me is how that plays out. One person in his community commented that homosexuality was a "personal issue set aside from any kind of church issue." That's that's just plain wrong. Sin is sin and in a community of believers we must stir each other on to righteousness. I think this is possible without "bashing" but to deny the right place of the Church to deal with sin and discipline is wrong.
