Pope Benedict began reading Augustine as as part of the Vatican's call for all Catholics to read some of the great Catholic theologians such as Thomas Aquinas, Johann Eck, Karl Rahner, and Mel Gibson. Through that however the unexpected has happened, Pope Benedict has converted to Christianity!
