who found whom?

Jonathan Moorhead noticed the following from Jn 1.35-51:
V. 45: “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

BUT, two verses earlier John says of Jesus:

V. 43 “The next day He purposed to go into Galilee, and He found Philip. And Jesus said to him, “Follow Me.”

I think it is a natural reaction for all of us to think WE have found Jesus, whereas in reality, it is He that has found us.

I agree with him.
