becoming all things

Mark Driscoll reminded the folks at the Coast to Coast Multi-site Church Conference of an oft neglected verse in evangelical circles, “I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.”

Under the guise of Biblical correctness, we too often miss why we are here. Our lives must point people to Christ. To do that, we must be "right". But if in our being right we lack beauty, we fail. That is, if there is anything in us (other than Christ in us) that causes someone to reject us, we need to rethink how we are portraying what is right.
