grace

For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. ~ Lk 6.43-45

What kind of tree are you? Clearly, you do not change the type of tree you are by try to grow some specific kind of fruit. In fact, it cannot be done. If you are an apple tree, you will produce apples no matter how hard you try to produce oranges.

The key here is grace. Grace has been understood by a the pretty good acronym ...

God's
Riches
At
Christ's
Expense

Adding to that, grace is more than the way one gets saved, it is the way one lives. As John Wimber would say, "the way in is the way on." Simply put, grace can be thought of as God at work.

Grace has proof and grace has fruit. The proof and the fruit are a life at work in the Kingdom of God.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. ~ Eph 2.8-10

So grace and faith, both coming from God, work together so that good work, or fruit, may be found.

So asking again, how is grace working on, in, and through you?
