Now, therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways. You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. Zacharias also writes that the mind is incapable of either explaining the spirit's hungers or of taming the heart's passions. Nothing short of the power of God Himself can help a man understand his desperate need for God and to stop his endless search for satisfaction in the places that will inevitably lead to destruction.
