I love giving and I love giving generously - but I don't love some of the reasons people use as
Biblical support of social justice. Kevin DeYoung continues in his series on Social Justice and does a fine job of analyzing what God really is and is not calling for. In
his latest post, DeYoung looks at Micah 6.8 and rightly concludes:
So what does Micah, and the Lord through him, mean by “doing justice”? He means we should not steal, bribe, or cheat. Conversely, we should, when we are in the position to do so, render fair and impartial judgments. And at all times in whatever calling, we should do good, not evil.
