Gibson Controversy Prompts Pastor to Refocus Message
by David at Horn+Swoggled

The controversy over Mel Gibson's drunken tirade has prompted a pastor in Louisville to stop talking so much about the events depicted in Gibson's movie, "The Passion of the Christ."

David reports that this pastor is considering focusing more on movies such as The Ballad of Ricky Bobby because it "shows a family sitting down to pray, and that's pretty good Christian values. When will we learn that God uses ordinary people to reveal Himself to us--ordinary people who are sinful just like the rest of us. Read about King David or anyone else in the Bible if you have doubts.

Which is more important; to focus on what God is trying to reveal to us or critize the messenger?

God is God no matter who He uses.
