Francis Chan in Crazy Love:
Worry implies that we don’t quite trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what’s happening in our lives.
Stress says that the things we are involved in are important enough to merit our impatience, our lack of grace toward others, or our tight grip of control.
... Both worry and stress reek of arrogance.

Worry and stress led me to death. It wasn't until I recognized that I didn't totaly trust in Him that they both vanished.
If you ride your bike down a street and miss seeing a tree limb and it smacks you in the face, the next time you catch a blur out of the corner of your eye, you're going to flinch. It's only natural. Only the man who hasn't been smacked in the face never flinches.
and at some point, that guy finds he hasn't ridden a bike in years, in fact, he's not left his home. his body and mind have gone weak. etc...
conversely, some learn that that smack in the face wasn't as bad as they imagined ... they learn to avoid it, minimize it, or in some cases, just take it better the next time ...
so, fair point but only one of many options ... ultimately though, flinching is different than worry and stress ... i presume we agree ...
