reformed clusters

John Piper in Bloodlines describing reformed theology as two clusters:

One cluster is the commitment to the great “solas” of the Reformation—that God’s justification of sinners is by grace alone, through faith alone, because of Christ alone, to the glory of God alone, on the authority of Scripture alone. The other cluster is sometimes called “Reformed soteriology,” or “the five points of Calvinism,” and is summed up in these five beliefs: (1) pervasive, disabling human depravity, (2) unconditional election, (3) extending the atonement beyond its power to make the offer of eternal life valid for all people to its actual effect in the particular purchase of the bride of Christ, (4) the power of God’s sovereign grace to overcome all human resistance, and (5) the purpose of God to preserve the faith and salvation of all his saints. My point will be that all five of these truths are meant to advance racial and ethnic diversity and harmony.
