non-infinite grace

Many today are confused about the grace of God and the truth regarding judgment. This from RC Sproul in The Holiness of God provides some clarity.
God’s grace is not infinite. God is infinite, and God is gracious. We experience the grace of an infinite God, but grace is not infinite. God sets limits to His patience and forbearance. He warns us over and over again that someday the ax will fall and His judgment will be poured out.
And since some are easily confused, Sproul also clarifies that for those who belong to Him, we are not at war. We are still corrected but no longer under wrath.
Our peace with God is not fragile; it is stable. When we sin, God is displeased, and He will move to correct us and convict us of our sin. But he does not go to war against us. His bow is no longer bent, and the arrows of His wrath are no longer aimed at our hearts. He does not rattle His sword every time we break the treaty.

Rick, The bible teaches us that He will remember out sins no More in Hebrews 10:17.

It also teaches us that He the Holy spirit convicts the world (not us) of sin. John 16:8 ... CONCERNING SIN because THEY (the world)does not believe in Him ... He convicts us of Righteousness (verse 10)..The Judgement is for the Ruler of this world (Verse 11)..
He already punished us in the body of Jesus.. Jesus endured our punishment..He corrected us by giving us His very nature, He made us a new creature, we have His laws written upon our hearts and minds.

Grace is unlimited.. For of His fulness we have all received GRACE upon Grace John 1:16
There is no balance for Grace.. it is grace upon grace upon grace ... Where Sin abounds Grace abounds much more ...

To those who receive the abundance of His Grace (Rom: 5:17)and His gift of Righteousness will reign in life thru Jesus.

The LAW was given through Moses, BUT Grace and Truth realized thru Jesus (John1:17)

Barry - I agree with your rationale but not your conclusion. The difference is that in addition to all that you say, God does not pour give saving grace to all and in the end, those will receive wrath.
