Some words for myself ...

Proverbs 11.12, "Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent."

Proverbs 12.18, "There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."

Proverbs 15.1, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Proverbs 18.13, "If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame."

Mat 7.1-5 (MSG), ""Don't pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults — unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It's easy to see a smudge on your neighbor's face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own.
