expository preaching?

What!?!? Is Mark Driscoll saying that the Bible doesn't demand expository preaching verse-by-verse? Is he really suggesting it is ok to follow the model outlined in the Bible as opposed to the system we created after it was written?

What's next? Continuationalism?

Read here if you haven't a clue what Driscoll is now up to (and you care).

  1. What, Rick, you don't care for expository preaching?

  2. Well, actually, I'm old school and if I preached regularly, that would probably be my pattern ... but I'm not married to it, I find other approaches as good if not better, and I'm bothered by those that are critical of preachers that do not follow that pattern.

  3. That's refreshing. I get tired of hearing the bombast for expository preaching, when there's not one example of any biblical figure preaching that way!

  4. i'd say the originality of "ask anything" alone makes it worthwhile
